Goat hunting techniques: Exploring new country

In part one of a four-part series on goat hunting techniques, Mark van den Boogaart explains why exploring new country is an important part of goat hunting. He discusses the value of reading the landscape, looking for water sources and identifying areas where goats are likely to feed, shelter and travel. It is a practical reminder that successful hunting starts before the shot, with careful observation and an understanding of how animals use the country.
